OUR FIRST FUNDRAISING INITIATIVE
Around The Neighbourhood
For the last two years, we have been fundraising through small donations and events in our community. Over the last two years, we have had multiple food drives, two garage sales, door to door canvasing and sponsorships from many companies. All in all, our efforts have paid off and we have raised over $6000 for a school in Sierra Leone, as well as raising more than 800 items of food for local food banks.
The Chance Chain
Our new initiative, that will hopefully raise enough funds to complete our goal of $10 000 is The Chance Chain. Although the project is a work in progress, we hope that it will not only raise funds, but also provide us with some publicity, so we can gain more supporters like you!
The Chance Chain is exactly what is sounds like, a paper link chain that we hope will give kids in Sierra Leone a chance to have an education. We are asking for small donations from people all over our community; for $3.00 you can purchase one metre of paper link chain. In the end, our goal is to create a paper link chain stretching a whole kilometre, which totals $3000!
